The Indy Autonomous Challenge (IAC), which features head-to-head racing of autonomous race cars piloted by AI driver software, is returning to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) on September 6, 2024.

Ten teams representing 18 universities from around the world will participate in the race and prepare AI-driven IAC AV-24 autonomous race cars to compete on the IMS oval.

In addition to the head-to-head race, the event will include several interactive activations that will offer attendees a chance to learn about and engage with technologies of the future including autonomous vehicles, drones, robots, augmented and virtual reality, generative AI, sensor fusion, internet of things and more.
